Fundraising

As a non-profit organization, Media Foundation relies on the support of donors in funding its activities. We believe that while project-specific funding has helped to make some important interventions in Nepal’s media development in recent decades, there remain many gaps in the overall communication needs of the country, mainly because of the lack of sustained sources of funding. Besides, non-profits like Media Foundation also face the constant challenge of meeting their operating and program costs.

We are in the process of launching a long-term fundraising campaign with the objective to institute a national endowment for the media. A certain percentage of the interests from the funds will be used for operating costs and to support media activities that benefit the neediest sections of the society.
