Call: Young J-Students Symposium, Jan 24, 2011

Jan 20, 2011

The Media Foundation is pleased to inform Academic Directors of Journalism/Communication Program, based in Kathmandu’s academic institutions that the Foundation is organizing a Young J-Students’ Symposium starting at 1 p.m., Monday, January 24, 2011. The program will be held at the premises of Media Foundation, located at 40 Shanti Marga (First left turn as you go from Bhatbhatteni Chowk towards the Chinese Embassy).

As part of the Foundation’s young scholars’ mentorship initiative, the Foundation is inviting two outstanding fresh undergraduate students from each journalism and mass communication college.

The program will focus on the exchange of learning experience as well as aspirations and observations by the participating students on Nepal’s mediascape and career opportunities in this area.

Veteran journalist Bharat Dutta Koirala, a Magsaysay award winner in journalism and communication arts, will speak at the session. This, the Foundation hopes, will be an enriching experience for the students.

We have limited seats. Please nominate only two students from your institution and arrange to send them to this event.

For questions and registration, pleas contact Prabhat Kiran Koirala, phone 4415137 (mobile: 9841578472).
